Logan, Utah

Logan is a very attractive, small city situated in the verdant Cache Valley. The Bear River Mountains (really the northernmost extension of the Wasatch Range) rise just east of town while the exceptionally steep Wellsville Mountains provide a pretty backdrop to the Cache Valley farmlands to the west. Logan boasts a handsome downtown area and pretty tree lined residential neighborhoods. Its architectural focal point is the gleaming Logan Temple set on a hill near the center of town. Utah State University, with its 20,000 students, adds youthful energy to the pleasant rural town. Unlike cities of the Wasatch Front (Ogden, Salt Lake City, Provo) that share a sprawling urban area, Logan benefits from being a bit isolated, and is by any measure a very inviting place.

The mountains surrounding Logan provide good opportunities for hiking, biking, fishing and camping, and in winter downhill and cross-country skiing. Logan has plenty of motels and restaurants and all the other shops and services you'd expect in a moderate-sized city.

Logan is located on Hwy 89, about 80 miles north of Salt Lake City and 45 miles north of Ogden.
