Park City has become a very popular mountain biking destination. Each of the three ski areas -- Park City, Deer Valley and The Canyons -- offer miles of good mountain biking routes down their wooded slopes. There are also a variety of rides in the mountains near town.

Presented below are:
short descriptions of riding areas and trails
a list of outfitters who rent bikes
Riding Areas
The Ski Resorts
Deer Valley is Utah's most upscale ski area. It is also a noted mountain bike destination in summer. It has a 45-mile network of trails, a good percentage of which are single track. Routes are available for beginners to advanced. The resort provides rentals and instructional clinic.

Park City Mountain Resort has nearly 20 miles of designated trails of both single- and double- track.
The Canyons is also promoting mountain biking on miles of trails. Its single track can be extremely challenging.

Lifts operate at each resort for those who don't want to fight with gravity.

McKinley Gap Loop has gentle climbs and gradual descents through switchbacked turns above Deer Valley Condos. (Planned construction will unfortunately close McKinley Gap sometime in the future.)
