The Great Salt Lake has
two main access points -- Antelope
Island near Ogden and at
the Great Salt Lake State Park along its southern shore. Great Salt
Lake State Park (801-250-1898) has swimming beaches, changing rooms
with showers, picnic tables, a primitive campground and a marina.
Though the exceptionally high salt content of the lake makes it
incredibly buoyant, it also leaves you awful salty and can irritate
eyes and ears. |
