There are private campgrounds in several of the towns along Hwy. 10 on the eastern edge of the plateau, Hwy. 89 on the western side of the plateau and in Scofield in the north.

In the Northern section of the Wasatch Plateau
Scofield State Park sits along the shore of 2,800-acre Scofield Reservoir. It has two campgrounds.
Madsen Bay is located along the northeastern shore. 40 RV sites and 100 tent sites; drinking water; modern restrooms w/showers; elev. 7,600'; open May-Nov; reservations: 800-322-3770; $9.
Mountain View is on the northwest side of the lake. 34 sites and 100 tent sites; drinking water; modern restroom; elev. 7,600'; open May-Nov; reservations: 800-322-3770; $11.
Gooseberry is located off of Skyline Drive south of Little Gooseberry Reservoir just north of Hwy. 31. 10 sites; drinking water; vault toilets; elev. 8,600'; open Jun-Sep; first-come, first-serve; $6.
Gooseberry Reservoir a few is at the reservoir. 16 sites; NO drinking water; vault toilets; elev. 8,700'; open Jun-Sep; reservations: 800-322-3770; $5.
Flat Canyon is located near Skyline Drive and Hwy. 264 near Electric Lake. 12 sites; drinking water; vault toilets; elev. 8,900'; open Jun-Sep; reservations: 800-322-3770; $8.
In the Middle of the Wasatch Plateau are several more Forest Service campgrounds.
Old Folks Flat is off Hwy.31. 5 sites; drinking water; flush toilets; elev. 8,100'; open 6/1 - 9/15; reservations: 800-322-3770; $8.
Forks of Huntington is also along Hwy.31. 5 sites; drinking water; vault toilets; elev. 7,700'; open Jun-Sep; first-come, first-serve; $6.
Indian Creek is in a very remote spot off the Skyline Drive near a small, fishable stream. 7 sites; drinking water; vault toilets; elev. 8,000'; open Jun-Sep; first-come, first-serve; $6. Also has 5 reservable group sites.
Joes Valley Reservoir campground is on the western shore of Joes Valley reservoir, 18 miles west of Orangeville. 49 sites; drinking water; vault toilets; elev. 7,100'; open 5/15-10/15; reservations: 800-280-2267; $8 single family sites/$15 double family sites. There is also a parking area at the boat ramp with 12 reservable sites for $6.
Lake Hill is 6 miles east of Ephraim on the west side of the plateau near a small stocked reservoir. 12 sites; drinking water; vault toilets; elev. 8,400'; open Jun-Oct; reservations: 800-322-3770; $7. Also has 1 group site.
Finally, towards the southern end of the plateau are 3 additional Forest Service campgrounds.
Manti Community campground is 5 miles east of Manti at small, fishable Yearns Reservoir. 8 sites; drinking water; vault toilets; elev. ____'; open Jun-Oct; reservations: 800-322-3770; $7. Also has 1 group site.
Ferron Reservoir campground is at popular Ferron Reservoir just off the Skyline Drive. 24 sites; drinking water; vault toilets; elev. 9,500'; open July-Sep; reservations: 800-322-3770; $6.
Twelvemile Flat is along the Skyline Drive a bit south of Ferron Reservoir. 14 sites; drinking water; vault toilets; elev. 10,000; open Jul-Sep; reservations: 800-322-3770; $7. Also has 2 group sites.
