Description
The Dream Home property is exactly what its name describes – a dream home. Situated on the top of Little Baldy Peak in Deer Valley, and enclosed within a private gated community, Dream Home is surrounded by the heights of scenic beauty while representing the heights of comfort. Its location is highly convenient, too - you can ski to the doorstep off the Jordanelle Run–the Dream Home will be the third home on your right, just below Jordanelle Express Gondola.
The Dream Home is sumptuously massive, and its 14,000 square feet of space spread out over three and a half levels. Within those levels are six bedrooms and ten bathrooms. A wrap around deck/patio space adds another 4,500 square feet to the home–if there is one thing you’ll never lack for, it’s room. Everything in the Dream Home is on this scale. The property has no less than fifteen fireplaces, inside and outside, and two fire pits outside. The gourmet kitchen has several Sub Zero refrigerators, freezers, and ice makers. Indeed, expect plenty of everything in the kitchen, from Wolf dual ranges and ovens, microwaves, and warming drawers to no less than three Asko dishwashers. Below, you’ll find two wine cellars and two wine chillers, the capacity of which is over a thousand bottles. Don’t worry about parking space, either . . . the garage is massive and comes with a dog spa, so even your pets will be accommodated.
The Dream Home’s luxury doesn’t stop at quantity, either. There are amenities within these walls that you might not imagine in anything short of a palace. Watch movies from stadium seating on a 124-inch screen, have a party on your own dance floor with your own DJ Booth, or play pool against the backdrop of a 550-gallon aquarium filled with trout. You can practice your swing in the coldest freeze of winter with a Full Swing Golf Simulator, or relax and rejuvenate in a Day Spa Suite with not only a sauna and steam room, but a treatment room as well. Prime yourself for a day of skiing with the treadmill, elliptical, stationary bike, and weights in the exercise room, then melt the snow off your ski boots in the ski lounge in the evening. In warmer weather, treat yourself to a dunk in the outdoor pool (with waterfall, no less) or soak in the massive hot tub.
The amenities alone are almost too incredible to quite take in, but the style of the home is a reason enough to spend a week here. There are windows everywhere, allowing for a 360-degree view of the resort, and these windows are framed by dark, gorgeous wood. The woodwork throughout the home is hand-carved of mahogany and walnut, alder and oak. The rooms are floored in Brazilian walnut. Every cloth, every counter top and tile, is wrought of something fine, be it hard onyx for countertop or soft suede for fabric. Every rug is handmade, and the theater and wine cellar are painted over with murals. Even the light fixtures draw the eye with their understated contrast between black metal and luminous glass.
The Dream Home is all of this and more, in all its grand Montana Moss stonework on the outside and Venetian Plaster on the inside, endlessly comfortable, and yet crafted enough to be a museum piece. You may almost be tempted not to leave the house long enough to ski.
