The Confluence Overlook Trail begins from the main scenic drive and travels through a few small canyons to a great overlook of the confluence of the Colorado and Green rivers. Along the way are nice views south over the banded spires of the Needles District. There is little shade, so you'll want to start very early to do the trip in summer.
