Flaming Gorge Dam

The Flaming Gorge Dam was completed in 1964. It is 502 feet tall and 1,285 long at its crest. A visitor center at the north end of the dam has exhibits, video programs and other information. 20-30 minute guided tours of the dam are offered from May to September at no charge. Self guided tours can be taken from April to September.

Location: On Hwy 191 about 6-1/2 miles north of its junction with Hwy 44 and about 3 miles south of the town of Dutch John
Hours: 9 - 5 Thurs. - Mon.
(Extended hours in summer)
Season: Open year round
