Jardine Juniper

The juniper in question is a gnarled, tenacious, old tree. There is disagreement as to its age with estimates ranging from 1,500 years to 3,200 years. The trail climbs to it through forests with nice views of the Bear River Range. The trailhead is at the turn-off to Wood Camp, 10 miles up canyon.

Location: Northeast of Logan off Hwy. 89 in Logan Canyon
Difficulty: Intermediate
Length: 10.4 miles round trip
Elevation: 800 feet
Time to Allow: 5 hours
Season: May to October

 Directions to Trailhead

From downtown Logan head east on 400 North (aka Hwy. 89). The road will bend north and climb up past the Utah State University and shortly thereafter enter Logan Canyon. The trailhead is 10 miles in on the left side of the road.
