Mountain biking trails and other bike routes in the Vernal area are listed below. Click on any trail name for more information.

Asphalt Ridge Loop Beginner 7 mile loop 1 hour

Bassett Springs Loop Advanced 5 mile loop 1 hour

Browns Park Advanced 28 miles 3+ hours
Backcountry riders will especially enjoy this trail. Two crossings of the Green River and a good jaunt through the river's marshes are what you can expect here. Keep an eye out for all the birds.

Dinosaur National Monument Trail Intermediate 20 miles 3-4 hours
This trail takes you past the Quarry and over slickrock and high desert. It's a long trail over dramatic scenery and you may want to put in a day or two.

Dry Fork Canyon Intermediate 21.5 miles 3 hours
Fremont Indian petroglyphs are easily accessible from this trail, which follows paved roads as well. You get great scenery with no fear of being lost. Visit the historical marker for Dry Fork Village while you're out.

East Park Loop Intermediate 32 mile loop 4 - 5 hrs.

King's Park Beginner 8 miles 1 hour
King's Peak in Browns Park is gloriously remote and cycling up to the peak is an experience in solitude. The landscape spreading below is breathtaking.

Outlaw Trail Intermediate 5 miles 1 hour
Browns Park is one of the best places to experience the rich shores of the Green River and Outlaw Trail is one of the best river trails. Expect to see osprey, otter and moose as you bike.

Range Study Loop Intermediate 10 mile loop 1 - 2 hrs.

Taylor Mountain Ramble Beginner
Intermediate
2-12 miles 1-2 hours
This is truly a ramble of a trail or, rather, trails. Cow paths and dirt roads intersect around the mountain itself and near Uintah Basin, Bush Creek Gorge and Ashley Gorge.
