Cottonwood Canyon Road
Cottonwood Canyon Road travels for 46 miles through rugged and remote areas of the Colorado plateau from Cannonville to near Lake Powell. The route passes the interesting eroded rock forms of Kodachrome Basin State Park and runs through wonderfully colored Cottonwood Canyon. Along the route is interesting Cockscomb Ridge. At about mile 20 is a turn-off for Grosvenor Arch, a rare double arch. The route is 46 miles long oneway, and is graded dirt and gravel. It is impassable when wet. Plan on spending a few hours.
