Solitude’s best kept secret is the Nordic Center. Easily accessible from The Village, the Nordic Center has nearly 20 kilometers of trails set for both classic and skating styles of Nordic skiing. Additionally, there are 10 kilometers of well-marked snowshoeing trails that meander between the Nordic Center and The Village. Snowshoe and ski rentals are available.

The Beaver Bottoms ski trail is open to the public, free to use, and groomed by Nordic United, a Cache Valley not-for-profit. This groomed trail provides access to the Mine, Cedar, Taylor Fork, Plantation, Pine Valley, and Pine Flats Trails. The trail is popular with beginning skiers and can be crowded on the weekends.

The Cedar Trail follows the ridge south of Beaver Creek, intersecting the Plantation Trail, descending to the Pine Valley Trail, and eventually reaching Highway 35. This unmaintained trail intersects several ATV roads that could easily be mistaken for the trail and should only be attempted by advanced users. The trail is opened to motorized use.

The Dry Fork Flume and the Flume Mill Site were both accessed by wagon road once up on a time and if the town that was to be built here never took off, the road remains, an excellent place for both hikers and bikers.

The Mine Trail climbs past old mines and a cabin to reach the ridge south of Beaver Creek. This unmaintained trail offers spectatcular views of Mount Timpanogos to the west. Advanced users may return to Beaver Creek Trail via the Cedar and Plantation Trails by following an off-trail route which traverses the south slope.

Mountain Dell Golf Course is available with acres of ungroomed land to explore. (The Olympic cross-country skiing events will be held here.)
