The Hansen Family Ranch home base is located in Fountain Green, Utah, famous for its many sheep herds. Located 100 miles south of Salt Lake City, this small town is surrounded by beautiful mountains and rich farm land. The Ranch encompasses 600 areas of fields and sagebrush on the foothills, with a panoramic view of mountains, trees and valleys. The fall and spring ranges plus the lambing shed and barns are located here.

Summer Ranch Activities: Manti-Lasal National Forest
In July, August and September, you can camp on the mountain top and enjoy cool, crisp days and nights. You will see quaking aspen, pine trees, and lots of stars at night. There are many deer and elk, with birds soaring high above the trees. You can smell the pines as you ride through the forest on your horse. Trails rides are available or you can ride with the herder morning or night to move the sheep around the mountain.
Activities at camp: horseback riding, trail rides, herding sheep, hiking, campfire sing-alongs and stories. Enjoy the peaceful mountains and observations of nature, with your experienced guide, and breath taking scenery. Mouth watering dutch oven dinners, tender lamb, and homemade sour dough is our specialty.
Choose from activities like jam making, butter making, leather work, wool spinning, home made rootbeer. Mmm---Roasted marshmallows See Autograph Avenue, a grove of quaken aspen trees with sheepherder’s signatures written from 75 years ago.
