The campground at Goblin Valley State Park is set at the base of some barren hills away from the formations. It is essentially a dirt parking area with little cover and not particularly attractive.

Green River State Park has a pleasant modern campground along the Green River in town. It's shaded by cottonwoods and has nice lawns.

San Rafael Bridge Campground is a primitive (and not very attractive) BLM campground along the San Rafael River in the terrifically desolate San Rafael Swell.
