Willard Bay State Park occupies an area on the south shore and northeast shore of 10,000 acre Willard Bay. It offers picnic areas, a modern campground, swimming areas and two marinas. It is a popular summertime destination.

This viewing area comprises privately owned fields surrounded by BLM public lands. The BLM lands are primarily piñon-juniper hillsides with scattered patches of Gambel's oak. A small willow-lined stream bisects the area.
