Biking within Bryce Canyon itself is limited to the main scenic drive. The road is narrow and has no shoulders, so it can be a bit hazardous at busy times. The drive runs for about 20 miles (including all spurs). There are some better options in areas surrounding the park. These are listed below.

Believed to have been used by the famous outlaw Butch Cassidy in his many escapes from the lawmen of the day. Relive some Old West adventures of your own on this wonderful red rock trail.

Cassidy, Rich, & Ledge Point Trails Intermediate 3-9 miles 4-6 hours
These three trails intertwine with each other to form several loops ranging from 3 miles to 8 or more miles.

Casto Canyon Trail Intermediate 7.4 miles
This trail takes you into a wonderful world of red hoodoos, sandstone cliffs of white, pink and even green colors. The spectacular red rock is evident along most of the Casto Canyon ride until you reach the forested areas of ponderosa pines where the colors change with every turn of the trail.

Casto Canyon Trail - Alternative 1 Intermediate 10 mile roundtrip 2-1/2 hrs.
Casto Canyon Trail leads through pine forests and past the incredibly vivid and colorful rock formations of Red Canyon.

Coyote Hollow Trail Intermediate

The Coyote Hollow Trailhead is the eastern access point to the Thunder Mountain Trail.

Along this trail, you will take in spectacular views of red rock cliffs, and wind your way through ponderosa pine forests, quaking aspen stands and sage flats as you climb in and out of the canyons.

Losee Canyon Trail Intermediate 2.9 miles
Located at the bottom of Losee Canyon, the trail follows the canyon floor, winding through the red hoodoos and the many colored sandstone cliffs up to the higher elevations of the Red Canyon area.

Paunsaugunt Trail Intermediate 20 - 75 miles
Views of the Pink Cliffs, Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, and the Kaibab Plateau in northern Arizona greet riders (and hikers) of the Paunsaugunt ATV Trail.

Pink Cliffs Beginner 15 mile loop 3 hours
You'll follow forest service roads up to great panoramas of southern Utah and views of eroded cliffs similar to Bryce Canyon. On the return you'll cruise through deep forests.

Powell Point Trail Intermediate 20 mile roundtrip 1/2 day
Powell Point Trail takes you through alpine scenery to the tip of the highest plateau in North America.

Red Canyon Bicycle Trail Beginner

The Dixie National Forest and Utah Department of Transportation partnered to create this paved bike trail paralleling Highway 12. Bicyclists can now enjoy Red Canyon's scenery without worrying about traffic on the highway.

Skunk and Badger Trail Intermediate 18 mile loop 3 hours
Skunk and Badger Trail begins in a valley along Tropic Reservoir and climbs gradually along Badger Creek to the colorful Sunset Cliffs and their multi-colored rock.

Thunder Mountain Trail Intermediate

One of the premier trails in the region, the Thunder Mountain Trail follows a normally dry wash for about 1.5 miles before climbing a series of steep switchbacks to a ridge that overlooks Red Canyon to the north, Wilson Peak to the southeast, and the Sevier River Valley to the west.
